1) PERAPRAVA — DZVERY
“This is my story about the last journey on the Minsk metro, from the terminal station to the Railway Station. Overwhelmed by fear, I then tried to leave the country as soon as possible and jump into the unknown of forced emigration.”

2) BORUM — WHEREVER I GO
“The code of Belarus is either not found or lost. The folkloric element in the track is just ghosts, smeared paint, echoes that are more like a memory or a dream than something that has clear meanings and power.”

3) THE N — ADČYNIAJ
“When one door closes, another one opens. I am proud of being on the side of those who open doors. The track is imbued with the energy of the crowd and the chanting of slogans during the peaceful protests in Minsk in 2020.”

4) DJ SHOS — MK420 (FEAT. MARIA KALESNIKAVA)
“Banger-reminder with the voice of Maria Kalesnikava, who has become a symbol of the struggle for freedom in Belarus. Acid-techno is the perfect soundtrack for motivational speeches. The track also includes Maria’s flute performance.”

5) 0xb1tb0y — MAJO SVIATA
“A unique and organic combination of deep bass, neural network, and the voice of the classic Belarusian literary figure Yakub Kolas. To have artificial intelligence recite the poems ‘Autumn’ and ‘Star’ I printed the texts in Latin, and the neural network read them as if they are in English.”

6) ANA ZHDANOVA, KARPESH — GUKAE
“We gave a new meaning to the archival recording of the ancient Belarusian song ‘Something Echoes in the Forest.’ The power of acapella singing, cymbals with progressive bass, and dynamic BPM inspire to go and achieve great things.”

7) SCVRLΞ††, JULA BO — MIADŹVIÉDŹ
“My track reflects the dramatic and gloomy elements, as an integral part of the life and lifystyle of our ancestors. Modern folk singing blends with samples of a traditional song recorded in 1993 in a village in Palesse.”

8) UHEAD — JELNIA
“Belarusian folklore is permeated with the theme of marshes and the adventures of mythical creatures in the swamps. In the track, you can hear the sound of the largest swamp in Belarus — Elnya. The recording was made by my friends from the KeepMinskWeird community during their journey.”

9) KRIWI — HEJ — LOLO (SCHMOLTZ RMX)
“A phantasmagorian soundtrack to the 90-s that could have been in Belarus. The track features the legendary Belarusian band ‘Kriwi’, even better than the conventional Deep Forest, as it combines fashionable dance beats with our own Belarusian touch.”

10) SHUMA — KPLNK
“The winning remix of the ŠUMA project’s contest for our contemporary electronic version of the well-known Belarusian song ‘Kupalinka’. The author wished to remain anonymous due to the political situation in Belarus.”

11) GIOVANNI DI POLESSI — ABLACCINCA
“Memories of my childhood are permeated with ‘Kalykhanka’ (‘Lullaby’) which played on Belarusian radio in the 90s. To this day, one of the best songs I’ve heard in the Belarusian language. And not just on it.”

12) DZVIERY — ZAČYNIAJUCCA
“Caution, the doors are closing,” says the Minsk metro, where today I cannot ride. In the track, I used my recordings of daily life in Minsk and the sound of a scratched vinyl record from the ensemble ‘Pesnyary’ from 1979.”

13) CINERIUS — NE BOISYA (DO NOT BE AFRAID)
“A song for the groom as he goes to the bride at the beginning of the wedding. It's the start of a new life and a charm. In the track, I mixed vocals, recordings from the Belarusian church, analog synthesizers, Belarusian bagpipes, and recordings of Belarusian nature.”
